Developing blog as digital portofolio for increasing mathematics power tell us that mathematics is universal. We can express anything related to mathematics. Using blog, we can express our mathematics, everything that we want in a writing.
Mr. Marsigit, Mr. Bambang, and Mrs.Kuswari did a research with the objects are their students of mathematics class. The target of this research are as follow:
1. There would be multiuser blog as impact of using opensource in learning process
2. There would be apresiation from the lecturers and students in using legal opensource and cheap
3. There would be portofolio model for subjects that will imply in teaching learning process
4. Increasing mathematics power as the impact of the implementation of blog as digital portofolio
5. A culture for sharing information (written communication) for students and lecturers.
The background that made the researcher are the mathematics learning is like a silent condition. Mathematics learning is assume to be not polite or familiar with the students. The competence of mathematics. Nowdays, blog is such a written communication. Multiuser in opensource is increasing in Indonesia because it is legal operating system. Sertification progam that make something in a paper. Because o that, the researcher thought the best way to communicate mathematics nowdays is using blog. Using blog, everyone can express what they want to express in writing. By writing can increase come aspect they are mathematics aspect, communication aspect, writing and vocabulary aspect (it means of language aspects), aspects of technology etc.
