“METODOLOGI PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA”

            In this opportunity, Mr. Marsigit explained about many kinds of methodology mathematics learning. According to Cocroft Report (1982: 132), they are:
1.      expository methods
2.      discussion methods (between teacher and students or students and students)
3.      problem solving methods
4.      investigating methods
5.      exercise the basic of ability and the principle methods
6.      application methods

According to Ebbutt and Straker (1995: 10-63), the hierarcy of mathematics are:
1.      mathematics is an activity to find pattern and relationship
2.      mathematics is an creativity that need imagination, intuition, and research
3.      mathematics is an problem solving activity
4.      mathematics is an instrument to communicate

In the other hand, Ebbut give view about mathematics that: in order the potentional of student are developed, the following must be developed too:
1.      students will study if they get motivation
2.      students study with their own way
3.      students study independently and or cooperatively
4.      students need different contexts and situations

Beside the methods, the management of class must be cared with the teachers, they are:
1.      class management and the educational paradigm
2.      class management: context, process, and content
3.      class management and curriculum distribution
4.      the characteristic of lessons and the students
5.      class management and the strategy of learning
6.      learning schema and the pattern of organization
7.      the laboratorium class and research class
8.      class management and school management
